Songyuan is interested in investigating quantum materials and novel quantum phenomenas by studying electronic excitations. His research focus is on running first-principles calculations of 2D moiré systems.
Research:
Investigating electronic properties of 2D bilayer moiré materials with DFT and the GW approximation.
