Rey Lambert

Graduate Student

Education

  • (2021) B.S. in Physics at UC Riverside

Bio

Rey is pursuing their PhD in theoretical physics at UCSB. Before coming to UCSB, they worked for a year at Los Alamos National Laboratory on a computational study of laser-trapped Bose-Einstein condensates. Before joining the Vlcek Group, they worked on DFT studies of quantum defects under Chris Van de Walle at UCSB.

Research

Rey's research interests lie in theoretical and computational studies of quantum dynamics and novel phases, including non-equilibrium behavior. Their current work involves solving Kadanoff-Baym equations to study the non-equilibrium behavior of quantum systems.
